November Events

November was a welcome break from the craziness of the previous months. Nonetheless, I still had some amazing experiences working with fellow music teachers and students!

I taught my first masterclass with students of Yellow Door Music Studio. Over the course of an hour, I worked with 6 students of varying levels to help them consider new musical perspectives and gain confidence performing. It was a great experience for everyone, myself included!

Later that same afternoon, I volunteered to help with the annual Sonata-Sonatina Festival, hosted by Piano Teachers Forum of GR. This year, 175 students performed pieces, all of which were memorized. 6 of my students entered this year, and I am happy to report all of them got “Excellent” ratings!

I also had the chance to write a short story featuring Holland Chorale’s annual Adventures in Harmony event this past October. Check it out here!
