Last month, I started what is sure to be an incredibly journey with other arts leaders from all over the state of Michigan. I am honored to be included in this year’s Michigan Arts and Culture Council’s Rising Leader cohort, representing Holland Chorale.
The program consists of three weekend intensives meant to develop leadership skills such as reflection, authenticity, and alignment of personal and work values. The first weekend retreat was in beautiful Petoskey, MI at a historic bed and breakfast inn.
Artists from all fields are represented in this group: poets, writers, painters, dancers, thespians, and musicians! I even got to connect with fellow SVSU alum Amy Lynne and Greenville native Kevin.
